Jason Lowes lives and works in Stanhope, which is a picturesque market town in Weardale, set in the North Pennines. He has spent all of his life in Weardale and has no plans to leave because of it's rural beauty and wildlife which provides a wealth of inspiration for many of his paintings.
From a young age he has always drawn and painted animals and landscapes. After studying illustration and graphic design at college he became a crystal figurine designer and sculptor. Only in recent years has he took up the opportunity to become a full time artist.
Painting in such a realistic and detailed way Jason has become well known and sort after for his paintings. He intends to carry on for many years, giving people the chance to enjoy his work.
